Hi. Let us tell you about our wonderful "get away from it all" place... located "on the quiet side" of the shore of Vallecito Lake, a year around resort.
Elk Point Lodge is in southwest Colorado, about 45 minutes NE of Durango. We sit right on the shore of Vallecito Lake where the Pine River flows into the Lake. Vallecito has 22 miles of shoreline. Most of our cabins are on the water's edge and are nestled into the tall pines with spectacular views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Our property adjoins the San Juan National Forest.

Our cabins are cute, comfortable, clean and are attractively furnished and fully supplied. All you need to bring is your food and clothes. Our lodge recreation room is a great place to play table games, get together with family and friends, or spend a quiet afternoon reading. Our general store is stocked with convenience groceries, gift items, fishing supplies, licenses, and more.
We also have our own marina where you can dock your boat, rent one of our outboards or canoe, or pontoon. Our horse rental stable is renowned in the area for the variety of trail rides and friendly wranglers. We have the best sunset dinner ride in four corners!

Summer pack trips or big game hunting is also available. Elk Point Lodge's first priority is quality service. Outfitters licence #1820, bonded and insured with permits in the Weminuche Wilderness and the San Juan National Forest. Our camps are well-maintained and are limited in size to assure quality and personalized service.
